When it came time to stage our annual meeting scheduled on May16th at Pearce Elementary, the COVID-19 pandemic made having a live event impossible to hold. A decision was made at that time to hold a Virtual Annual Meeting over the internet and phone. A link on the "Cooperative" page of our website took people to a registration page to enter the meeting and things went as planned as Board President David Thompson called the meeting to order and conducted. Valley's Bob Dahlstrom gave the invocation and marketing representative Camme Carlson-Watkins sang a great acapella version of the National Anthem. Proctor Justin Allred certified the number of ballots received and it was declared by President Thompson that a quorum was present. This was followed by Proctor Allred's report. President Thompson then introduced the Cooperative Board of Directors and held a moment of silence for recently passed board member Thomas Kuykendall. Secretary Joe Chapin's certification of legal meeting notifications came next. The proctor then read the results for approval of minutes from the 2019 meeting which was approved. The financial report by Treasurer Joe Chapin came next followed by addresses from both President Thompson and Valley CEO/GM Steve Metts on the state of the cooperative. The Scholarship Committee report came next and the 2020 scholarship recipients were all announced followed by the Nominating Committee report with election results from Proctor Allred. The election results were as follows: Bunch Swift and Marti Tingle were re-elected from districts One and Three and in accordance with Cooperative Bylaws and policies, the Board will invite applications to fill the term of Tom Kuykendall. After the election results, Q and A was opened up but yielded no questions or comments. The grand prize drawing was then held for $1000.00. This year's winner was Joe L of Pearce, AZ. President Thompson then thanked all the attendees and closed the meeting.
